A message from the JAOKC President

I am proud to say Junior Achievement of Greater Oklahoma City area had another exciting year impacting the lives of 7,160 students in 339 classes with JA programs. We serve an eight county area which includes: Oklahoma, Canadian, Grady, Cleveland, Potawatomie, McClain and Carter counties and our goal this year is to provide JA programs to a greater number of students across Oklahoma.

JA's educational programs serve as the primary vehicle to advance our mission: To inspire and prepare young people to be successful in a global economy. Junior Achievement considers its educational programs to be successful when participants develop the skills and the desire to achieve their personal goals and to be productive citizens in a way that preserves democracy and the free enterprise system.

All JA programs require a community volunteer to deliver-in person-at least some portion of the program. Junior Achievement of Grea ter Oklahoma City engages in continuous efforts to provide "free enterprise education" by providing 22 economic education programs through a dedicated network of community volunteers and four full-time staff. We accomplish this task by offering programs K thru 12 on subjects such as economics, ethics/character, citizenship, business, and financial literacy.

Junior Achievement of Greater Oklahoma City was founded in 1967. During the past 41 years, we have considered it an honor to assist in developing the next generation of leaders in our city, nation, and world by empowering students through business and economic education.

If you would like more information on how to be a classroom volunteer or how Junior Achievement can be introduced into your school, please give me a call at (405) 235-3399. Together, we can make a difference in the life of a student.

Best Regards,
Steve Kime
